The anti-drug unit detained Terminator Vémola. Three detentions in total.
© AKTU.cz MMA fighter Karlos Vémola was detained the day before Christmas Eve during an extensive police raid at his home in Měchenice near Prague, which is linked to suspicions of drug-related criminal activity. The National Anti-Drug Centre, assisted by the Customs Administration, intervened on site; detectives detained a total of three people in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region.

Raid in "Vémoland"
The raid began on Tuesday morning at the luxury house nicknamed "Vémoland" in Měchenice near Prague, where Vémola lives with his family. According to witnesses and media footage, the fighter was led out of the house in handcuffs and taken away in a police vehicle.
Role of the National Anti-Drug Center
The operation is being led by the National Anti-Drug Center, which officially confirmed the raid, stating that it concerns drug-related criminal activity. According to spokeswoman Lucie Šmoldasová, the police detained three people in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region; they are not releasing further information due to ongoing criminal proceedings.
Other detained persons and context
Among the detained, in addition to Vémola, is said to be his close friend Antonín Beck Sr., at whose home a simultaneous raid took place. During the operation, police and customs officers are carrying out house searches and securing possible evidence, and they have not yet released details about the scope or the legal qualification of the acts.
Family statement and circumstances
The arrest was confirmed to the media by the manager of Vémola's wife, Lely Vémola; the family has not provided further comment yet. Vémola said that on the day of the raid he underwent an emergency operation due to an inflammation in his jaw and said he "definitely did not expect" his Christmas to turn out like this.
Vémola's earlier cases
The fighter has previously faced penalties related to drugs during his stay in the United Kingdom, where in 2016 he was punished for a drug offense. In the Czech Republic he came under the authorities' scrutiny over keeping exotic animals, when customs officers seized a tigress from him in 2022 and in 2023 he was charged with unauthorized handling of a protected tiger cub.
